FINISH STRONG
We set out on this DEVOTED journey to not just grow our church but help grow THE church. We had some big hairy audacious goals in front of us, and we stepped out in faith to reach them. On committment weekend, you joined us and pledged $17 million to be all in for Mission, Vision, and Multiplication. But there was more to do. So you rallied around DEVOTED and pledged another $2 million bringing our total pledge up to $19 million dollars!
The weekend of June 24 /25 will mark the end our our DEVOTED journey, but not the end of our generosity and participation in kingdom work. Now this mission has not been easy. For me and my family, we’ve experienced a lot of sacrifice, and struggle. Stepping outside of ourselves isn’t natural, it’s uncomfortable. But it seems that the more uncomfortable I am, the more room God has to move. So we stayed obedient to the “yes” we gave when we pledged above and beyond our tithe. And man has it grown us.
As a church, we’re on track to meet 86% of our goal. I couldn’t be more proud to be your pastor. I know it hasn’t been easy, but I hope you have seen God move in your life and in the lives of the people around you. You have CHANGED LIVES, people know Jesus because of You. That’s a really big deal, and I pray that you see just how much your generosity and love matters.
As we wrap up DEVOTED, the mission continues. We don’t stop running towards people that need Jesus. We don’t stop being generous with our resources. We don’t stop helping people take next steps with God. This mission is our personal journey, each and every one of us, to continue for the rest of our lives.
I pray that you hear clearly from God what your next step is. That you would see and experience how He works in you and through you. He doesn’t work alone, ever. He needs you to reach the people around you. God didn’t create a plan B when it comes to healing and rescuing the world, you are it. Be encouraged, you have everything you need to do everything you need.
I am sure, now more than ever, that the best is yet to come. I can’t wait to see where our mission continues to take us.
