Read Luke 19:1-10 It is easy to give lip service to change, to feel a need to take a stand but never actually stand up. We need a plan in order to follow through on good ideas. Zacchaeus was a man with a plan. He does not commit to be generically nicer or better. He makes a special plan to give to the poor and to give back what he stole. Now that is seriously DEVOTED.
This DEVOTED journey is an opportunity for you to do more than just think nice thoughts about committing to God’s work. You should make a plan, share the plan and work the plan. First plan…then commit.
Oh I’m a big fan of accountability, at least giving it maybe not so much on receiving it. :). Seriously, Those times that I have taken Next Steps I have always found greater consistency and blessing by being held accountable by people in my life I trust.

Zacchaeus gave up 50% of his wealth to follow Jesus. His commitment to follow Jesus through his finances speaks for itself.
