Read Isaiah 65:17-25
Are you excited about the vision of God when you Isaiah 65? Can you picture a world like that one? God is in the business of restoring brokenness…broken people, broken relationships, etc. And God gives us the chance to work out this vision in our everyday lives, having faith that God is restoring the world to this image. Isaiah 65
won’t be complete until God brings a new heaven and earth, but this vision gives us a glimpse into how God desires the world to be.

What can you do today to live this vision, trusting that one day it will be a reality?

“The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind” (verse 17). One way I can live out the vision of God’s kingdom is to help myself and those around me focus on the future. The past and the present can have so much pull over us. But no matter how bad or great things are, God’s future for us is incredibly brighter.

There is something so compelling in this passage…and it takes the focus off ME. I need so many reminders that it isn’t about ME. For me, one of the best ways to get the focus off myself is to serve.

Today I did something really simple: I opened the door at church for a first time visitor with three kids. She had no idea how to navigate getting her kids checked in to KidCo, so I helped her. It was easy. Her kids were cute. I went into service and thought about that family. I don’t know if they know Jesus or not. I don’t know what they’re struggling with. But I think it’s so cool that God used me today to help that family with their first step of attending 2|42 for the first time and it helped refocus me on the 67% of people who don’t know Jesus. How can I help them take their first step?
